Now it appears that a heap of our kids are too flabby, and even the family pooch has a paunch. Cats are supposed to be corpulent. There is that lifetime of lying on the window sill thing, hence the term "fat-cat."
That our children are courting obesity as well as coronaries at an early age should be no surprise in a fast-food nation where the most exercise they get is pounding out e-mails and instant messages - digits of steel.
